Deanne Roy has been an administrator at St. Thomas the Apostle School since July of 2001.  She began as the assistant principal for one year and has been the principal since then.  Mrs. Roy graduated from DePaul University with a BA in Communications and a MAT from National Louis University where she also received her teaching certification.  She received her Administration certificate while enrolled in a doctoral program at Northern Illinois University where she continues to pursue her EdD in Curriculum and Instruction.

            Mrs. Roy has worked in the education field since 1986 when she taught at St. Eugene School in Chicago, IL.  After marrying her husband, Bill, she relocated to McHenry County and worked as a teacher in Woodstock School District 200. She has three sons, one is a student at Marian Central Catholic High School and the other two attend school right here at St. Thomas.
