Dear Parent(s),
This Week’s Highlights:
· Wow! The children had a blast watching the 8th graders compete in a basketball game against the Running Reverends. The Running Revs are a group of Rockford Diocese clergy that go around to different Catholic Schools and play basketball!
· During math this week the children continued to practice place value and use the 100 chart to identify patterns. Next week, the children will be working on using the greater than (>), and less than (<) symbols.
· The children are really enjoying Writer’s Workshop. Many of them have published several books already. We’ve been keeping them in our classroom library, but will start sending them home. Look for these award winning books in their home folders!
A Big Thank You:
I would truly like to thank all of you for the wonderful birthday presents. The beautiful beach bag had all of my favorite things in it and the Fannie May was enjoyed by my whole family. The children really enjoy singing and eating the cupcakes that were brought in by our wonderful room mothers; Mrs. Reckamp and Mrs. Moceri. Once again thank you!
Important Reminders:
· Mother’s Day Prayer Service – Friday, May 11th – 9:30 a.m.
· We are need of empty cereal boxes!
Sincerely,
Ms. Kathleen Corr
