First Grade Discipline Policy

| Classroom Rules: |
| There
are five basic rules that cover any and all behavior 1. Listen and look when others are speaking. 2. Raise your hand when you have something to say. 3. When in the halls, walk in a straight and quiet line. 4. Treat others, as you would like to be treated. 5. Do your best work! |
| Positive Outcomes: |
|
1. Praise and positive reinforcement. 2. Positive remarks to students and parents (behavioral logs notes, etc.) 3. Special reward opportunities (certificates, stickers, etc.) |
| Problem Solving Strategies: |
|
1. The teacher will address the problem and ask the student how to solve it. 2. If the student cannot solve the problem or chooses not to, the teacher will intervene. 3. The teacher will contact the parent(s) about the problem and problem solve together. 4. If the behavior persists, the principal or assistant principal will be contacted for help and support. |
