I have been teaching first grade for the past seven years and I absolutely love it! One of my favorite past times is to read. I also enjoy cooking for my family and friends. I have been blessed with a son, Connor who is entering seventh grade. We reside in Crystal Lake, and we find great pleasure in participating in all the community activities.
In 1988 I earned my Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Western Illinois University in Elementary Education. I have also obtained my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through National Louis University.
I embrace teaching as an opportunity to encourage and empower as many children as I come in contact with. I want my students to feel comfortable and safe in their classroom.
Finally, I strive to improve my teaching by arranging as many “hands on” experiences as possible, continuing my education and experimenting with new methods. I am passionate about my craft and finding the most effective ways of igniting intellectual, social and emotional growth among my students.
