A Little Bit About Me

Hello, my name is Barbara Graybiel. This is my third year teaching fourth grade and my seventh year teaching at St. Thomas. I previously taught junior high, grades seven and eight.

I enjoy teaching and I am committed to lifelong learning. I continue to take classes and attend seminars when available. I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from National Louis University. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business from Northeastern Illinois University.

Prior to teaching, I had my own licensed daycare in my home and was able to be home with my children.  I also worked as an assistant to the Investment Analyst in the finance division of a corporation as well as various positions within that field.

I live just outside Belvidere with my husband and our three children.  David is attending Rock Valley Junior College. Michael is a sophomore at Belvidere North H.S.  and Amanda is in 7th grade.

I enjoy reading, puzzles, a good movie, and especially spending time with my family.
