Computer Lab and Library Expectations for K-5

1.    This is not a social gathering.  Conversation should occur only when necessary: assigned group work.  Please refrain from shouting out; wait to be called.

2.    All computer work is your own work. No copying and pasting is acceptable. All sources must be cited.

3.    All work must be turned in to the requested site—MrsH’s daily folder or printed. No work is to be saved in my documents.

4.    Follow Acceptable Usage Policy signed by you and your parents.

5.    Treat computer equipment and everything in this room with respect.

6.    Use shelf markers to return books where they belong. If you cannot remember how to shelve a book properly, please ask.

7.    Check the due date on all library materials and return them by the date.

8.    Report all library accidents: rips, tears, spills, as soon as possible.

9.    All lost or damaged beyond repair books will result in a fine equal to the current replacement cost.

Consequences

1.    Talking will result in a time out. Second occurrence will result in missed work for the day with no make up. Third consequence is notification of Mr. Reisenbuechler.

2.    Missed work due to absence for any reason, including alter servers, must be made up. It is your responsibility to find out what you missed.  Work not made up by next class period is late, 1% of total points deducted for each day past class period.

3.    Lack of respect will not be tolerated.  Disrespect to the equipment, books, fellow students or adults will result in a phone call home and an after school detention.

4.    Plagiarism is against the law.  Work which is not your own will result in a zero, a phone call home, and a detention.
