
| Homework should be completed before the due date. The lab will not be available to complete homework assignments that are due today. All homework should be printed at home. If your printer at home is broken or out of ink--please provide a note from home. Homework printed at school will result in a charge to cover the ink and paper. |
| Computer Lab - Netiquette |
All students and parents should read and sign a copy of the St. Thomas Network Acceptable Usage Policy. Students must have a signed copy of this policy on file before using a St. Thomas Network computer.
Always log on to the computer with your username and password.
Work done in the computer lab will be saved in the student's personal folder as well as the teacher's daily work folder.
All files should be named the student's last name, first initial.
Listen---Listen-----Listen....In order to learn, we must first listen. Often projects in the lab will require group collaboration. In order to listen, the group work must be done in an orderly fashion. Talk only amongst your group and not across groups. Shouting will not be tolerated.
Do only the assigned work. If the assignment is completed, you are still in an educational environment. The computer is to be used as an instrument of education. Games are not to be accessed during school.
Please respect the computer lab and keep it neat and clean for the next students.
Enter the lab quietly.
Come to the computer with clean hands.
Do not bring food or water into the lab.
Do not place books anywhere except the top shelf or under your assigned seat.
Do not change settings, or dismantle any hardware.
Be sure to throw away any unnecessary paper, and push in your chair before leaving the lab.
Always log off your username when leaving the computer.
All lost or damaged books must be replaced through the school with a library bound issue of the same or comparable book.
Kindergarten: students have scheduled library time every Friday. K students choose one book from books that are on display and may keep this book for 5 school days. This book must be returned before another book will be checked out. There are no late fines for kindergarten students. There are damage and lost book fines, however, equal to the price of the replacement.
First grade: students have weekly scheduled library time. Students may choose two books from the primary shelves and keep these books for 10 school days. Students can only have two books checked out any given time. There are no late fines for first grade students. There are damage and lost book fines, however, equal to the price of the replacement.
Second-Sixth grades: Students may choose two books and keep these books for 10 school days. Students can only have two books checked out any given time. There are late fines for books that are more than 3 school days late. Fines equal to 5¢ for each day beyond the due date. Fines are not available on any book until the book is returned. There are damage and lost book fines, however, equal to the price of the replacement.

7th and 8th grades: will need to check due dates!
Grades 2-8: There should be no overdue books or outstanding fines at the end of each quarter in order to receive a report card.
