I graduated from Valparaiso University with a B.S. in P.E. with a major in P.E. and a minor in biology.  My first teaching job was at Oak Lawn Community High School. After marrying my husband, we moved to Texas and I taught biology in high school and then P.E. in middle school.  While living in Texas, I also earned a Masters in Secondary Ed. from the University of North Texas.  Our next move was to New Jersey where I taught P.E. in high school and coached.  Our final move was back to the Chicago area to teach at Valley Lutheran High School.  We have twin daughters as well as a daughter who is a senior at the University of Iowa. (Go Hawkeyes!) While they were younger, I subbed in Dist. 300, taught biology at Jacobs High School, and became certified in K-12 P.E.  This is my thirteenth year at St. Thomas.
