2A 2B Homework Policy

Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday. The week’s assignments are sent home on Monday. Please check your child’s work daily and initial it. Send the folder and homework back on the following Monday. Please send the Homily Report in the homework folder, too. Item # 3 of the Homily Report should always be completed.

Your child should never do more than 15 minutes of written homework each day.

Every child is expected to read daily. Your child should read for 20 minutes each day including five minutes of oral reading.

It is best to establish a homework routine early. Experts say that children should do their homework at the same place and time each day. Children need to have the necessary supplies available, and should work in a well-lighted and quiet place.

Spelling words and High-frequency words will be posted weekly.  We will start homework on Monday, September 8th.
