I have been a sixth grade teacher at St. Thomas School for the past 13 years, and am now VERY excited to step into my new role as a second grade teacher (once again)!!! Previous to my years at St. Thomas, I taught nine years in the primary grades, with eight of those years being in the second grade classroom. I have absolutely loved teaching sixth grade since 1995, and anticipate a most memorable year with second graders!

My formal education includes a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University and a M.S. in El.Ed. from Purdue University.

My husband Andy and I have been married for nearly 28 years and have three adult children. Our 23 year old son, Mike, is attending the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago and will graduate with a Fine Arts degree in Media Arts and Animation within the next year. His twin brother, Chris, graduated from Northern Illinois University and received a Business degree in Marketing one year ago. Chris is presently employed by Interact Business Products in Wooddale. Megan, our 18 year old daughter, is a freshman at Harper College in Schaumburg and is pursuing an Interior Design degree. All of our children are graduates of St. Thomas School, just like their mother.

St. Thomas holds a special place in my heart, both as an alumnus and a teacher. My graduation picture may even be found on the "Wall of Fame" in the hallway by the office. I just can't reveal how close to the office door that will be!!!
