Hello, and welcome to 5th grade at St. Thomas School! My name is Jill Howen and I feel very blessed to be your child’s teacher this year. This is my 7th year teaching at STS and my 20th year of teaching overall. In the past, I have taught at St. Peter School in Antioch, IL and at several public schools in Lake County, IL. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from Illinois State University with endorsements in language arts, social science, and music. My husband, Todd, and I have been married for 25 years and have two daughters, Lauren (19) and Liz (17). We are members of The Church of Holy Apostles where I have been involved in Bible Camp, Sunday School, and Children’s Liturgy. In my free time, I like to read, try new recipes, and spend time with family and friends. Again, welcome and I am looking forward to a fun and educational year with your child!
