Mrs. Holland

Emily graduated from Illinois State University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Music Education (certified K-12), an emphasis in choral/general/vocal music, and a minor in vocal performance. Since then, she spent 3 years teaching choir and band at St Edward High School in Elgin before becoming a Stay at Home mom to her 5 kids. During her time as a SAHM, she worked with Encore Music Academy for 1 year, teaching preschool, Kindergarten, and Elementary music at a local Montessori school. Her most recent musical experience was as the Assistant Director of Music at St Elizabeth Ann Seton parish, where she created and directed a Men’s choir and Youth choir. She also helped at Glacier Ridge Elementary last spring as Music Director for the 5th grade Polar Bear Players theater production of The Lion King at the Raue Center for the Arts. She is thrilled to come back to classroom teaching and share her love of music with the students at St Thomas school!
