This is my fifth year teaching at St. Thomas the Apostle School. During my time at St. Thomas, I have taught Kindergarten and first grade, and this year I am a Resource Teacher for the primary grades. I love my job as I am able to work and connect with so many students. Whether it’s helping a small group of students better understand a concept or encouraging other students to go deeper into their thinking, I enjoy the opportunity to help meet the various needs of our diverse students. I also like teaming with the teachers to help each child become successful in the classroom.
I graduated from the University of Illinois with an elementary education degree, and I received my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University. My teaching experience includes 9 years at the primary level in Cary District 26 before my children were born. While staying at home with my girls, I was a substitute teacher, reading coach, tutor and Religious Education teacher. Now I love being a part of the STS family!
I live in Crystal Lake with my husband and two teenage daughters. Their high school sports and activities keep our family busy, but we love to cheer them on! We are members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish.
