Meet our Music Teacher Mrs. Holland!
Music Class
In music class at St. Thomas, we spend time each week learning about composers from different eras. We also learn about beats and rhythms, how to read and write music, we spend time playing various instruments (alone and together), and we sing as a group. The curriculum is designed around the nine National Standards of Music Education, and we are always making connections between music and other subjects. Our Catholic faith can easily be incorporated into our music classes by learning about/singing sacred music, and participating in all school masses each week. We are proud to praise the Lord through music, and share our gifts and talents with each other and the community.
